Chapter 66

(66) Chapter. The superiority of Dhikr of Allah (remembering Allah i.e., glorifying and praising Him, etc.).

66- بَابُ فَضْلِ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ:

English narration

Narrated by عبد الله بن قيس الأشعري

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The example of the one who celebrates the Praises of his Lord (Allah) in comparison to the one who does not celebrate the Praises of his Lord, is that of a living creature compared to a dead one."

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "

مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَذْكُرُ رَبَّهُ وَالَّذِي لَا يَذْكُرُ رَبَّهُ ، مَثَلُ الْحَيِّ وَالْمَيِّتِ

" .
