Chapter 52

(52) Chapter. To lick and suck the fingers before cleaning them with a handkerchief.

52- بَابُ لَعْقِ الأَصَابِعِ وَمَصِّهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ تُمْسَحَ بِالْمِنْدِيلِ:

English narration

Narrated by عبد الله بن العباس القرشي

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'When you eat, do not wipe your hands till you have licked it, or had it licked by somebody else."

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ a> ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : "

إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يَمْسَحْ يَدَهُ حَتَّى يَلْعَقَهَا أَوْ يُلْعِقَهَا

" .
