كِتَاب أَحَادِيثِ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ

Chapter 39

(39) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “...And remember Our slave Dawud (David), endued with power. Verily, he was ever oft-returning in all matters and in repentance (toward Allah)... (up to)... And sound judgement in speech and decision." (V.38:17-20)

39- بَابُ: {وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا دَاوُدَ ذَا الأَيْدِ إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ: {وَفَصْلَ الْخِطَابِ}:

English narration

Narrated by عبد الله بن العباس القرشي

The prostration in Sura-Sa'd is not amongst the compulsory prostrations, though I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) prostrating on reciting it.

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : "

لَيْسَ ص مِنْ عَزَائِمِ السُّجُودِ ، وَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْجُدُ فِيهَا

" .
