Abu Dawud · 5171أَنَّ رَجُلًا اطَّلَعَ مِنْ بَعْضِ حُجَرِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِشْقَصٍ أَوْ مَشَاقِصَ ، قَالَ : فَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى رَAnas bin Malik said: A man peeped into some of the apartment of the prophet ﷺ. The prophet ﷺ got up taking an arrowhead or arrowheads. He said: I can still picture myself looking at the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he was e4 narratorsAbu Dawud · 5172مَنِ اطَّلَعَ فِي دَارِ قَوْمٍ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنِهِمْ فَفَقَئُوا عَيْنَهُ ، فَقَدْ هَدَرَتْ عَيْنُهُNarrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet ﷺ said: If anyone peeps into the house of a people without their permission and he knocks out his eye, no responsibility is incurred for his eye.5 narratorsAbu Dawud · 5173إِذَا دَخَلَ الْبَصَرُ فَلَا إِذْنَNarrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet ﷺ said: When one has a look into the house, then there is no (need of) permission.6 narratorsAbu Dawud · 5174جَاءَ رَجُلٌ ، قَالَ عُثْمَانُ : سَعْدٌ ، فَوَقَفَ عَلَى بَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَأْذِنُ ، فَقَامَ عَلَى الْبَابِ ، قَالَ عُثْمَانُ : مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْبَابِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلّNarrated Huzayl: A man came. Uthman's version has: Saad ibn Abu Waqqas came. He stood at the door. Uthman's version has: (He stood) facing the door. The Prophet ﷺ said to him: Away from it, (stand) this side or that side8 narrators·parallel chainAbu Dawud · 5175حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الْحَفَرِيُّ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، عَنْ سَعْدٍ نَحْوَهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ . A similar tradition has also been transmitted by Talhah bin Musarrif from a man from Saad from the prophet ﷺ through a different chain of narrators.7 narrators
