Abu Dawud · 2812ادَّخِرُوا الثُّلُثَ ، وَتَصَدَّقُوا بِمَا بَقِيَ قَالَتْ : فَلَمَّا كَانَ بَعْدُ ذَلِكَ ، قِيلَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَقَدْ كَانَ النَّاسُ يَنْتَفِعُونَ مِنْ ضَحَايَاNarrated Aishah: Some people of desert came at the time of sacrifice in the time of Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Store up for three days and give the rest as sadaqah (alms). After than the people 5 narratorsAbu Dawud · 2813إِنَّا كُنَّا نَهَيْنَاكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِهَا أَنْ تَأْكُلُوهَا فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ لِكَيْ تَسَعَكُمْ فَقَدْ جَاءَ اللَّهُ بِالسَّعَةِ فَكُلُوا وَادَّخِرُوا وَاتَّجِرُوا ، أَلَا وَإِنَّ هَذِهِ الأَيَّامَ أَيَّامُ أَكْلٍ وَشُرْبNarrated Nubayshah: The Prophet ﷺ said: We forbade you to eat their meat for more than three days in order that you might have abundance; now Allah has produced abundance, so you may eat, store up and seek reward.
