Abu Dawud · 2190لَا طَلَاقَ إِلَّا فِيمَا تَمْلِكُ ، وَلَا عِتْقَ إِلَّا فِيمَا تَمْلِكُ ، وَلَا بَيْعَ إِلَّا فِيمَا تَمْلِكُ ، زَادَ ابْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ : وَلَا وَفَاءَ نَذْرٍ إِلَّا فِيمَا تَمْلِكُAmr bin Shuaib on his father's authority said that his grandfather (Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As): The Prophet ﷺ said: There is no divorce except in what you possess; there is no possession, there is no sale transaction ti8 narrators·parallel chainAbu Dawud · 2191مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى مَعْصِيَةٍ فَلَا يَمِينَ لَهُ ، وَمَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى قَطِيعَةِ رَحِمٍ فَلَا يَمِينَ لَهُThe above tradition has also been transmitted by Amr bin Shuaib through a different chain of narrators to the same effect.
