Abu Dawud · 1505لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ، اللَّهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِAl-Mughirah bin Shubah reported: "Muawiyah wrote to al-Mughirah bin Shubah: 'What would the the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite when he gave Taslim (salutation) in the prayer ?' He then narrated a similar supplication and added to it: "There is no might and no power except in Allah; there 4 narratorsAbu Dawud · 1508اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَرَبَّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ ، أَنَا شَهِيدٌ ، أَنَّكَ أَنْتَ الرَّبُّ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ ، اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَرَبَّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ ، أَنَا شَهِيدٌ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ ، اللَّهُمَّ رNarrated Zayd ibn Arqam: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying (the version of Sulayman has: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say) after his prayer: - "O Allah, our Lord and Lord of everything, I bear witness that Thou6 narratorsAbu Dawud · 1509اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ ، وَمَا أَسْرَرْتُ وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ ، وَمَا أَسْرَفْتُ ، وَمَا أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي ، أَنْتَ الْمُقَدِّمُ وَأَنْتَ الْمُؤَخِّرُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَAli bin Abi Talib said: When the Prophet ﷺ uttered salutation at the end of the prayer, he used to say: "O Allah, forgive me my former and latter sins, what I have kept secret and what I have done openly, and what I have7 narratorsAbu Dawud · 1510رَبِّ أَعِنِّي وَلَا تُعِنْ عَلَيَّ ، وَانْصُرْنِي وَلَا تَنْصُرْ عَلَيَّ ، وَامْكُرْ لِي وَلَا تَمْكُرْ عَلَيَّ ، وَاهْدِنِي وَيَسِّرْ هُدَايَ إِلَيَّ ، وَانْصُرْنِي عَلَى مَنْ بَغَى عَلَيَّ ، اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي لَكَNarrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Prophet ﷺ used to supplicate Allah: "My Lord, help me and do not give help against me; grant me victory, and do not grant victory over me; plan on my behalf and do not plan against me; gu6 narratorsAbu Dawud · 1511حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ مُرَّةَ بِإِسْنَادِهِ وَمَعْنَاهُ ، قَالَ : " وَيَسِّرِ الْهُدَى إِلَيَّ " وَلَمْ يَقُلْ : هُدَايَ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ The aforesaid tradition has also been transmitted by Amr bin Murrah through a different chain of narrators to the same effect. This version adds: "And make right guidance easy for me. " The narrator did not say: "my righ4 narratorsAbu Dawud · 1512اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِAishah said: When the Prophet ﷺ uttered taslim, he used to say: "O Allah, You are As-Salam, and from you is As-Salam. You are blessed, O One of Magnificence and Generosity. "6 narratorsAbu Dawud · 1513حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ ، عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّ Thawban, the client of Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When the Prophet ﷺ finished the prayer, he asked forgiveness three times and said: "O Allah. . . . . " The narrator then narrated the tradition like that of Aishah.6 narrators
